This makes me sick. I was under the impression that money or government could do this to Indian land? What is happening across this nation? Excessive greed has paid off it appears. It is bad enough that corporations were given access to our national parks. I hope you can fight and win this battle.

Good post monekyman... I've posted a couple of article on this situation and I'm happy to see that more action is being taken.

The Environmental Protection Agency should be run and staffed entirely by Native Americans. They are the undeniable experts on what is good and bad for Mother Earth.
They have the knowledge and aptitude for preserving and protecting our most important asset.
Good post, monkeyman

It is just fine for the Christian factions to disturb the peace, so to speak, as they kneel and pray in the capital rotunda, but then again, religious freedom is apparently only for them.
I had been standing by the railing when the group you see kneeling arrived, led by a priest. As they kneeled and began to pray out loud, I overheard the priest refer to Madison, Wisconsin as the epicenter of evil. With the Republicans in charge, I might agree with that assessment, but I think they were referring to other things. I respected their space and wandered through the Capitol one floor above. I was struck by the religiosity of the scene below me: a giant, state-sponsored Christian symbol dominated the rotunda while a group of people prayed openly to their Christian god.
The Christian genocide of the Native American still exists in the 21st century, as they try to wipe out any form of spirituality that does not entail worship of the white god over Christian beliefs. It is no wonder that the WI House voted to allow desecration of the land in a manner that will affect the quality of life and land for the neighboring tribe. After all, the repub members are mostly white, male Christians who practice humiliation of and hatred toward those they do not understand- the others (gay, red, brown, black, yellow, Muslim, trans., etc.). And they are elected to represent who? It is amazing to see and hear the evil that emanates from ones who profess to be so pure and moral.
